Pompy Portraits hosted its inaugural body positivity pool party in Jacksonville and instantly became a day we won’t forget! Pompy Portraits is an all-inclusive Boudoir and Maternity photography studio in Jacksonville that gives women the ultimate pampering experience in photography.
Jacksonville’s Newest All-women Event
The idea for an all-women pool party came to us as we discussed ways to help women feel more comfortable in their skin and celebrate their beauty – inside and out. It was our goal to give women a chance to say “F*CK IT!” to unrealistic societal pressures.
The Every-Body Pool Party was more than just a day at the pool; it was designed exclusively for women to embrace their authentic selves, promote body positivity, and have a blast in the sun! This unique Jacksonville pool party brought women from all walks of life together to accept their bodies and uplift each other in a supportive and fun environment.
Bringing the Vibes and Energy
Like any other Pompy Portraits event, there was no holding back! Not a single detail was missed! The day was filled with food, drinks, music and dancing and pool games, and of course, tons of photo ops! I really think that was the best part of the day – seeing the women feel free and actually want to get in front of the camera!
Something special about the day was seeing how quickly women connected. You could feel the energy! Strangers quickly became friends, bonded by this experience of celebrating their bodies without judgment. You could see how these women were craving a space that was just their own, and this pool party gave them just that. When women started walking in, there was an overwhelming sense of community and connection.
One way to know how an event is going is by how long everyone stays. Well, for the pool party, the event time was over, but nobody was ready to leave! So many connections had been made, and the day was full of laughs and conversations that were good for the soul. I didn’t want it to end either! One of the women said, “Can we have another pool party before summer is over? This was SO MUCH FUN.” Girl, I feel that!
All-Women Vendor Team in Jacksonville
When we host an event, we keep it local and only choose the best of the best. This was a celebration of body positivity and a way to show the importance of supporting local, women-led businesses.
We couldn’t have made the pool party happen without the incredible team of female vendors. They blew us away with the ease of working with them, and it really wouldn’t have been the same without each one of them. Check these ladies out!

When one of the women said, “I’ve never been to an event poolside surrounded by all women. I felt empowered to show up for myself again”, I knew we had done what we set out to do. And that only means one thing: we’re making this an annual party!
