Pompy Portraits hosts an annual Galentine’s Day event in Jacksonville, FL to bring women together to celebrate love and celebrate themselves. This event is typically in-person at a local venue.
As many of you know, Angelica – the owner of Pompy Portraits in Jacksonville – is the queen of charcuterie and it is one of her favorite hobbies. A few years ago she took a class on how to make boards and that changed her life. Angelica is the hostess with the mostest when it comes to events. She hosts several events in Jacksonville for women and local business owners.
This year, amazing Jacksonville-based vendors come together to make this event happen. Rebecca from Let’s Cheese Jax taught us how to make a charcuterie board. She taught us her signature salami rose and how to cut the famous kiwi star. The class was about 90 minutes, and it was so enjoyable and fun. Not only did she teach us how to make boards, but she also taught us how to eat them as well. We had no idea there was a specific way to eat a charcuterie. (Did you know?!) She gave us pointers on different combinations to pair the items from the board.
After the class, we had a dance party and enjoyed the open wine bar. The Little Bar Co. poured us up some white, red, and sangria the day of the event. Brick and Beam was the perfect location to host this event. It is in the heart of Springfield, which is minutes from downtown Jacksonville. There was ample space for the class and a dance party for our ladies.
