This plus-sized beauty, Raven, traveled from Atlanta to have her session with us at Big Talbot Island, also known as Black Rock Beach, in Jacksonville, Florida. We went at sunset, and the golden-hour lighting made for some really powerful photos.
Raven had never done a photoshoot like this, so it was a little out of her comfort zone. During the consultation call, we talked through her nerves and showed her how this shoot would allow her to embrace herself, her curves, and all! I ensured she felt like a goddess right from the start, being her ultimate hype girl. As the session went on, something shifted. In each pose, I could see her confidence growing. At Raven’s photo reveal, she couldn’t believe it was her – glamorous, fierce, and totally in control. It wasn’t just about the pictures but about owning herself in a way she’d never done before.
