I’ve known the Douglas family for quite some time - going back to when we went to the University of North Florida together. So, I was thrilled when Kolanda reached out to me to take her maternity and newborn photos. During our consultation call she even let it slip that “everyone is recommending you!” Uh, thank you! Your girl was flattered!
Getting maternity photos the second time around
One of the first things Kolanda mentioned was that she wanted a full maternity photography experience because she did not do that with her first child. She regretted it and wanted to take maternity photos that included her husband and son so they could all have something to remember this magical time.
So on the day of the maternity photoshoot, the whole Douglas family came ready to stun - they looked so glamorous! We took some of the most stunning maternity photos in the gardens at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville, FL. The color palette that the family chose to wear was perfect for the location.

When the baby comes - it’s time for newborn lifestyle photos!
A few weeks later I got to meet baby Major, who was already well-loved by his big brother and best friend. We met at their home for the newborn lifestyle photoshoot so they would all be in the most comfortable environment. As they relaxed into the beautiful everyday moments together, I was able to capture their family’s connection and love.
The keepsake album they chose was a perfect heirloom for them to pass on to their children in the future.
