Hey there, Queen! It’s been nearly two years since we opened our Jacksonville maternity and boudoir photography studio. (Can you believe it?!) So, we thought it was time to take you on a virtual walkthrough. The studio has evolved since we posted our “the making of” video, and we’re excited to show you around!
Pompy Portraits Studio is nestled in Riverside, at 1508 King Street, Jacksonville, FL. Our space has 15-foot exposed ceilings and 10-foot tall windows, with curtains that provide privacy and natural light all day. We’re one of the only studios in Jacksonville with a building that allows for indoor and outdoor shooting.
Angelica’s goal was to create a safe space for women to celebrate every season of life. So we work hard to make sure that from the moment you step into our studio, you feel special, pampered, and ready to shine.
You can tell we’re a studio of women – when we designed our space we wanted a mini spa experience for every woman who stepped through the door. That’s why all our maternity sessions and boudoir sessions include complimentary professional hair and makeup. As soon as you arrive, you’ll get to spend 90 minutes being pampered and prepped for your session.
Our Glam Squad will take care of your hair and makeup after a brief consultation of your preferences and outfit choices. And don’t worry about getting snackish. You’re two feet from our cute kitchenette, so we can bring you snacks and beverages while you relax.
Once you’re glammed up, you can head to our private Client Closet to pick up a few carefully curated pieces to complete your look. Dive into our collection of designer shoes (including coveted red bottoms), accessories, and stunning maternity robes. It’s all about giving you the variety to express your style and get playful.

We’ve created four stations in the studio, where we’ll do all our indoor photos. Our clients love how versatile they are. You can go from a claw-foot tub to a satin-sheet-covered bed, to a brick wall, and then a white, textured wall. All in the same room! (Yeah, we can’t get over how perfect it is either!)
This is a favorite for our boudoir babes. We have a variety of satin sheets and fur blankets to create an intimate and cozy setting. We often play with a variety of on and off-the-bed poses to give you a great variety.
This wall puts in work! Versatile and timeless, you can never go wrong with some exposed brick. The brick is original to the building and fits right in with the Jacksonville vibe. You can lean against it, use it as a background, or make it a secondary character in the photos.
This year, our white wall has been one of our most requested scenes. It’s right near the 10-ft windows, so the light trickles in perfectly. We have boxes, a velvet couch, and backdrops for you to choose from if you want to play with the set. We also can call in large fresh flower installations to turn this into your very own, indoor flower field. (Trust us, it’s a vibe!) It’s a favorite of our maternity clients, who love the “pregnancy glow” the window provides.
This green set is also extremely versatile. Keep it as is for a bold, beautiful background. Pair it with our claw-foot tub for a fun and sensual milk bath. And if boho is your vibe, tell us ahead of time and we can add white drapes and plants to turn it into a bohemian oasis.
Once we’re done having a blast during your session, we’ll reconvene for the big reveal. We’ll sit together in our private reveal room to view your images on the big screen and choose your favorites. You’re going to have a lot of emotions seeing yourself this way. Some of our clients tear up while others ask who is on screen. Whatever emotion you feel, you’re safe to express. Our goal is to make you feel beautiful and empowered in your skin.
